Polaris Networks’ ALE 1.1 Protocol Conformance Tester helps RFID Middleware Vendors comply with EPCglobal’s ALE 1.1 protocol standard
Apr 21, 2008
Polaris Networks, a leading provider of Wireless Protocol Software Certification and Conformance Test Systems and an active member of EPCglobal, announced the release of the ALE 1.1 Protocol Conformance Tester today. The Tester will now be commercially available.
“With the ALE tester, Polaris has a complete test suite for RFID protocols that includes testers for ALE1.0, LLRP, RM and RP protocols as well. We plan to add further tests related to ALE for testing optional features and negative tests as well for testing the stability of protocol implementations”, said Sujit Purkayastha, VP, Business Development, Polaris Networks.
The ALE 1.1 Conformance Tester implements all of the mandatory tests as described in the Conformance Requirements document of the Filtering and Collections workgroup. Passing these tests is necessary for EPCglobal certification. Additionally, the tester is a valuable tool for in-house use, both during the development cycle and further regression testing.
Polaris has been actively involved in the EPCglobal’s ALE 1.1 standards development work group for the development of both core specification and conformance requirements.
