Lexington, MA, USA and Dresden, Germany, Februar 04, 2011 - Polaris Networks Inc., USA and Signalion GmbH, Germany, present a complete test set up for E2E tests of LTE infrastructure at this year’s Mobile World Congress in Barcelona (Hall 2.0 Booth 2J04).

The demonstration of the joint eNodeB test solution will provide insight to complete testing of functional requirements across all layer of an eNB. The joint test solution will also cover scenarios for load test, stress test and scalability test. Apart from surrounding the eNodeB from all interfaces, this combined test solution enables end-to-end simulation, whereby access equipment manufacturers and operators can test the performance of their LTE base stations using voice and data applications.

Signalion has been a pioneer in providing air-interface test solutions to LTE infrastructure equipment manufacturers. Its SORBAS 3GPP-LTE Test UE- Platform has been widely adopted by manufacturers and operators for interoperability testing, field trials, and production testing of the LTE base station.

Polaris Networks has a long history in developing conformance and performance test tools for telecom and wireless technologies. The company has developed a series of software tools, network equipment emulators and functional testers for eNodeB, MME, S-GW, PDN-GW.

Tim Hentschel, CEO of Signalion, said “Signalion has a long tradition of showing illustrative and leading edge LTE demonstrations at the MWC. In the past the goal was to demonstrate LTE-technology at different levels of maturity. Now the focus is to present the complete eco system of LTE infrastructure testing. With our partner Polaris, Signalion is able to demonstrate sophisticated E2E test solutions for LTE-infrastructure.”

“MWC is one platform where, every year, we learn about and demonstrate innovative products and technology which will lead us to Mobile Future. This year, along with our partner Signalion, we shall showcase a product which is a comprehensive solution to the testing requirements of LTE Access infrastructure manufacturers as well as operators.”, said Bud Biswas CEO of Polaris Networks.
