Polaris Networks Enters Telecom Tester Market By Acquiring ATCA Tester Product Line From ESO Technologies

Boston, MA - May 1, 2007

Polaris Networks announced today that it has acquired the ATCA Tester business from ESO Technologies, a pioneer in the IPMI and ATCA test tools development. ESO is a technology company based in France. ESO has a large customer base and most of the ATCA (as well as AMC and Micro TCA) companies are currently using ESO's ATCA Tester.

ATCA™ Tester is an automated software tool for testing the compatibility of an AdvancedTCA or AMC building block with respect to hardware management requirements of the PICMG 3.0 or AMC.0 specification. It can be used during the building block development or qualification. It can also be used during system integration to simultaneously test all building blocks in an integrated system. Polaris Networks is responsible for sale, support and further development of the product.

While commenting on this product acquisition, Sujit Purkayastha who heads the Polaris Business Development Group said The ATCA Tester gives us an opportunity to move into the telecom test tool market and positions us for offering other related test tools in the area of AMC and Micro TCA testing as well as Service Availability Forum's (www.saforum.org) Middleware Testing.

Polaris is an active participant of the CP-TA (www.cp-ta.org) and PICMG (www.picmg.org) technical working groups.
