Polaris Networks joins the Zigbee Alliance

February 9, 2004

Polaris Networks announced today that it has joined the Zigbee Alliance, the industry body that promotes low-power personal area networks based on the IEEE 802.15.4 standard. "Our mission is to help our partner companies develop Zigbee products in the shortest possible time," according to Bud Biswas, President and CEO of Polaris Networks. "Our Alliance membership lets us track all developments in Zigbee technology and provide the most updated software and services to our clients."

If you are a Zigbee device manufacturer, our engineers have the knowledge and the experience of working with IEEE 802.15.4 and Zigbee technology to assist you in your R&D process.

Polaris can draw on its internal source code IP and engineering expertise to develop Zigbee Network Layer and Application Framework software for your device. Alternatively, we can integrate third-party protocol stacks with your device, porting the protocol stack on to the embedded operating system and silicon of your choice. Polaris engineers have worked with Embedded Linux, VxWorks and other embedded operating systems, and with Zigbee PHYs from vendors like Chipcon.

Polaris can also help you develop Zigbee application software, Web-based configuration and management utilities, AES-based security suites, protocol decodes, etc. to reduce your total development time and cost.

Finally, Polaris can assist in your Testing and SQA efforts, including developing a script-based automated test environment for Protocol Conformance or Regression Testing.
