Description  

Responsibilities


Leading:
  • Manage a QA team.
  • Assist junior test engineers with assignments and trouble-shooting.
  • Review of bug reports and test reports prepared by other engineers; analysis of reports for aspects such as completeness, adherence to documentation standards and clarity.

Testing:
  • Understand technology, system requirements and translate them into a Test Plan, covering both functionality and performance testing.
  • Design and put together a Test Bed based on the Test Plan.
  • Automate the Testing process using automation tools and scripting.

Networking / Keeping abreast with Industry Trends:
  • Identify and evaluate new tools and technologies that can be used during the software test process.
  • Participate in Technical Working Groups and technical mailing lists of various industry forums and bodies.

Required Skills and Experience:
  • Good understanding of computer networking, data communication and TCP/IP networks.
  • Good understanding of complete software test cycle.
  • Master new tools and environments quickly.

Experience:
  • 5-6 years of experience in automated/manual testing in the field of computer networking and 2-3 years of exp in leading a QA team.
  • Experience with bug tracking systems and test tools such as Protocol Analyzers.
  • Ability to create high-quality test plans, bug reports and test reports.
  • Ability to write test automation scripts would be an added advantage.

Educational Requirements:
  • B.Tech / M.Tech (Computer Science/Information Technology/Electronics & Communication) from a reputed School and University.
